Sixth Week of teaching practice (15/7/24-19/7/24)

15/7/24 

As usual we reached our school at 9.00 am. After attending the prayer session, I went to my concerned class and I took the balance portion of the song’  We're the world ‘ and the students actively participated in the given entry activities and discussion time during the class hour. Later I got a substitution hour  at 7 E for teaching them the Malayalam first part,there I taught them a story and then I did my other work related to my course. 

16/7/24

It was a public holiday due to Muharam. 

17/7/24 

We reached the school at 9.00 am. After getting my signed lesson template and attending the prayer session, I went to my class and taught them the balance of the poem. Most of the students answered each question correctly when I called out randomly. They also show the previous day follow up activities at the end of the class session. They also shared some happiness and anxiety with me. Later I got substitution at 7 E and I and another B. Ed trainees went there to teach them a story and a poem for their coming July test. Later during lunch time I went to see my optional teacher Jijan sir to show my rough achievement test preparations. He gave necessary guidance and I corrected my mistakes for conducting the exam. Later I got substitution hours at my own class so I gave them some notes related to the poem they are studying. 

18/7/24

This was the third last day of my teaching practice and I reached the school at 9.00 am. After attending the prayer session, I went to my concerned class and I was able to complete the song because I got two hours continuously there due to the absence of their chemistry teacher. I also brush up their mind by asking small small questions related to the chapters they learned in the first unit. Majority of the students are able to answer them correctly and the one thing I found was they are not able to express their thoughts in a complete sentence. So I gave necessary instructions for them to improve their speaking skills. In order to improve that I gave them a debate session related to poverty facing by the people.I saw that most of the students tried their best to tell their opinions, at the end of the class I informed them tomorrow they will have a small test paper to know their understanding about the first unit Hues and views. Later I got substitution hours and the day ended with a lot of happy moments for us to remember in our life. 

19/7/24

Today was the last day of my teaching practice period. After hearing a melodious prayer by the school choir I went to my class . The students wished me with their sweet voices and smiles on their faces. I asked them to do the preparations for writing the exam. They did it neatly and most of the students were present. At last I speak with them and I give necessary guidance for them to improve their study habits. I wished them a bright future and they wished me back . And they gave some gifts and letters to me , which  was a surprise for me. I thank them and my concerned teacher Sreeja miss and my friends for helping me to complete my teaching practice in a good way even in my hard time. And I thank my students for making me move on with the present situation and for helping me to realise my strengths and weaknesses, and for their unconditional cooperation with me during the teaching hour.

Fifth week of teaching practice (8/7/24-12/7/24)

8/7/24

 On the fifth week , as usual we reached the school at sharp 9.00 am. After attending the prayer session and signing my attendance, I went to my class. There I taught them the next part of the story ‘The Boy who Drew cats’.Then I got substitution hours.Later I did my work. 

9/7/24

We reached the school at 9.00 am. And I went to my class to teach them. Then I gave them textual question answers. They are now more cooperative than previous days. They actively participated  in the classroom discussions. They showed their follow up activities they had done. I got substitution hours and there I asked students to read their English chapters they learned in order to improve their reading skill.

10/7/24

Today we reached school at sharp 9.00 am. They invited me with their smiling faces. I completed most of the story. And I got a chance to show them the videos that are related to art works. Later I got substitution hours. 

11/7/24

Today after attending the morning prayer, I went to my class to teach them. There I completed the story ‘ The boy who Drew cats'. The students actively participated in the activity given for them. They came forward to complete the flowchart that shows the death of a goblin rat. Through this activity, I realised that the majority of the students understood the story clearly. Later I got substitution hours and also I joined the preparation for next day Food Festival and Social Club Inauguration. 

12/7/24

The day starts with the peaceful prayer song by the choir group of our school. In my class I took a new poem ‘we're the world’ written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie Jr. I showed them their images and gave some details of them. Later, I gave background information about the poem. They shared their knowledge regarding the poet and about Africa. Later I started the poem and they listened to it. Then I went to the Inauguration of Social Club and the Food Festival of 5 th standard students. There we had beautiful moments with our charming students. Later I got substitution hours and the day ended with happy moments in our teaching time .

Fourth week (1/7/24-5/7/24)

1/7/24

 On July 1 st the fourth week of our teaching practice had started. After the prayer session, I went to my concern class. And there I started a new poem ‘Taj Mahal’ written by Rabindranath Tagore. I started the poem by showing them the image of Tagore and Taj Mahal. Students started to share their knowledge regarding Taj Mahal and Tagore. And I completed the first portion of the poem and present the unfamiliar words with the use of flash cards. They learnt the meanings and tried to use them in another situations. Afternoon session in our auditorium PTA meeting for the students of class X had taken. 

2/7/24

As usual we reached the school at sharp 9.00 Am. After the prayer session, I got my signed lesson template from my concern teacher and I went to class VIII to take my class. There, I started the balance portion of the poem by asking some previous day  questions and took the second half of the poem. I use PPT slides to show the word meaning and the images. Later I gave them some textual activities to complete. During the third and fourth hour I got substitution at class X and there I and my co- training teacher conducted class test for them as per the instruction of the concern teacher. And gave them question answer for them. During the afternoon session I went to see my optional teacher to submit my some works and he gave necessary advices to completing the works and also he gave suggestions to improve my class. 

3/7/24

On 3 rd July, we reached school at sharp 9.00 Am. After signing our attendance register, I prepared myself for the class. I took the balance part of the poem ‘ Taj Mahal’ and I use flash cards to teach them the meaning of unknown words. And I gave them some textual question answers related to the poem. They actively do the activities given for them. After my class, due to DEO inspection teachers asked some help to us to find out the TC of those who leaved our school are correct or not. During the afternoon session, DEO came and inspect our school and gave necessary guidance to improve the facilities of our school. 

4/7/24

Today we have no class due to the educational strike. 

5/7/24

I reached school at sharp 9.00 Am. After signing our attendance register I prepared myself for the class. Due to the remembrance of the famous writer Muhammed Basheer. After the prayer session we heard the voice of Basheer sir once in the Aakashavani. Later students had brought some chart they had drawn related to Basheer sir. And quiz session was also conducted. I started a new chapter that is a folk tale of Japan  and I used ppt slides to show them the video of rural village in Japan. Students are excited to watch the video. And they listened the story silently while the teacher was reading and they learned the meaning of unknown words and there use. At the end of the class teacher had given a follow up activity for them to practice what they had learned. The school work at 12.30 Am. Later students can leave the school grounds, because during the afternoon session in our auditorium there was a meeting to evaluate the Top Scores of Class X & Class XII students of all our Management  Schools. The MP Anto Antony came to inaugurate the function.
