Teaching practice phase 1 - seventh week

On 4 th December was an off day for us ,due to the Pathanapuram church feast . So all the offices and institutions under our management got the opportunity to take part in the feast.

5/12/23

This was the 30 th day of our teaching practice at St. Stephen HS school, pathanapuram. During the first period election was conducted for the classes and that ended without any distractions. As usual I took my class at 7 B, and  I teach them a model based lesson plan. When I got a substitution period I just started a new chapter that was included in their Christmas examination. I am so happy because my students are doing their follow up activities. And they responded positively towards the questions the questions that I taught them. Later I got substitution hour at 7 C, 5 B etc  . At the evening ,the Election Result was announced & we all packed our bags and went to our home with lots of memories. 

6/12/23 

This was the another  last day of our teaching practice at St. Stephen High School. Because our college call us back for semester third classes. Due to strike the classes was suspended on that day. So we went to our home after getting our signed register from HM of St. Stephen HS school, pathanapuram. 

Innovative Work - Puzzle Chart ( Regular & Irregular Verbs)

Innovative works are meant to expose the innvative  skill of the child and the teacher. As a part of B. Ed curriculum, I had done an innovative work for teaching students the grammar element.  So, in order to teach them Grammar structure  - "Regular verbs & Irregular VerbsVerbs".I used  a  puzzle chart  as my innovative work.  This chart assist students  in improving their  visual learning and making the concept more concrete. Students analyse the puzzle shape of each pieces and then they began to join the correct word(pieces) in a sequence order.  This helps them to understand the present, Past and Future Tenses of each verbs.

Teaching Practice Phase 1 - Sixth week (27/11/23-1/12/23)

27/11/23

This was the 24 th day at St. Stephen’s High School, pathanapuram.  Today, we reached school at 9 Am. After getting my lesson plan signed by my incharge teacher. Today, I had third period at 7 B and I taught them a new chapter ‘A village pooram’  I used laptop to show them the image of pooram. Through that, I introduced the new chapter to them. Students shared their festival experience during class room discussion. At the end of the class i gave them a follow up activity. 

28/11/23 

On 28 th November, we got off due to cluster meeting for school teachers at kollam district. 

29/11/23 

We reached the school as always by sharp 9 Am. After signing the attendance  register, we settled down on our  assigned spot. Today, I had third period. I got substitution at 7C, 5D. Itaught them the balance portion of the chapter ‘A village pooram’  and I used flashcards to clarify the meaning of unfamiliar words for them.

As usual we reached the school by sharp 9 Am. After sitting to our allotted place, I prepared myself for the class. Today, I had third hour at 7 B and I taught them a new chapter ‘The Boy and the Balloon’ , I used flashcards to show them the unfamiliar words. I gave them activity cards for filling and they enjoyed it well. 

1/12/23 

We reached the school by sharp 9 Am. We settled down to our allotted place, after getting my signed lesson plan, I got substitution duty at 7 E. In 7 B, I show them the film’ The Boy and the Balloon’ for students. They were so excited and thrilled to watch it. I realized that,by showing them that film, it helps them to understand the concept more clearly. It improve their visual learning power. They are abled to answer the questions asked to them.  At the evening session our HM asked our team to help them to decorates the Christmas tree,so we enjoyed a lot during decorations.The week end with a lot of memories and enjoyment.
